Hay algo que me molesta. Miren: la gente homofóbica nos ve como criaturas enfermas, siempre pensando en sexo, en criaturas extrañas, inhumanos, estrafalarios. Vamos, que para eso tenemos a Lady Gaga. Y eso me choca, pues es un estereotipo, como bien se sabe que los violadores de niños se componen de un 80% de bugas, además de otras evidencias. Pero la otra ves empecé a leer de una marcha gay, y me molestó porque muchos, como parte del grupo LGBT hacen trajes con plumas más que nada, y también muy exóticos, además de discotecas móviles que hasta hacen sentir que uno entró a un prostíbulo.
There's something that bugs me. Look: homophobic people see us as sick, sex minded, weird, unhuman freaky creatures. Come on, we've got Lady Gaga for that. And that just bugs me, cause it's a stereotype, as it's well known that infant violators are composed by an 80% of bugas (straights), besides of other evidences. But the other time I was reading about a gay parade and it took me off cause many, as LGBT part make costumes with nothing but feathers, very exotic, with mobile discos that give you the feel you've entered a table dance.
Sí, el título del blog se basa en las plumas del pavo real, pero no como para salir y andarlas enseñando mientras uno le dice a cada persona con quien se topa que es gay. No, cabe explicar que es simbólico, las plumas de la cola desplegada representan el orgullo gay. Pero vamos, que llevarlo a lo físico da una imagen muy distorsionada de nosotros, LGBT. Miren a la mujer de abajo. Claro, es un hombre transexual, pero ya está en el momento cuando es una mujer ya, y quizá esto dé una mala imagen pero eso es más que nada por la transfobia, o digamos una rama de la homofobia. Pero nadie, a menos que salga en los Power Rangers se vestirá así, y eso es el error que me molesta del que les hablo.
Yes, the blog title is based on the peacock feathers, but it doesn't say go out, wear them and show them to everybody while saying I'm gay! No, let's make clear that it's simbolic, the bloomed peacock represents the gay pride. But come on, taking it to the physic level just gives a very distorsioned image of all LGBT. Look at the women above. Yes, it is a transexual dude, but she's in the moment it's a women, and this could give a bad image of us, but that's just cause of transphobia, or a divission of the homophobia. But nobody, unless goes out on the Power Rangers will dress up like that, and that's the misstake that bothers me.
Ok, si lo pienso bien quizá quieren representar el hecho de que me puedo vestir como sea y no me importa, porque ya admití mi sexualidad y no me importa la opinión de los demás. Pero no hay necesidad (en mi opinión) de hacer tanta ostentosidad, o como decimos por aquí, tanta "mamada".
Ok, maybe if I think it through maybe they want to represent the fact that I can dress up like I want, not caring for anybody else, cause I already accepted my sexuality and I don't care about anybody else's opinion. But there's no need to do that (in my opinion) of making such carnival.
Miren la foto de arriba, el tipo de la izquierda. Una tira de plumas así sólo la vi en el concierto de Katy Perry o en un carnaval brasileño, pero en una marcha gay no creo que sea apropiado. ¿Por qué no sencillamente nos vestimos con los pantalones que me hacen ver guapo y mi camisa favorita? Simplemente ir a la marcha tal y como salgo cuando quiero impresionar a algún guapo o simplemente verme genial para una buena ocasión informal. Claro, hay muchas opiniones distintas, y quizá mi opinión no sea acertada por algo. Si tú eres alguien que opina distinto, hazme saber tu opinión, pues quiero siempre conocer distintos puntos de vista.
Look at the upper image, the dude on the left. A line of feathers like that I only saw it on Katy Perry's concert or in a brazilian carnival, but I don't think it's appropriate in a gay parade. Why don't we dress up with those pants that make me look handsome and my favorite shirt? Just going to the parade dressed up just as when I wanna surprise a cute guy, or when I just wanna look cool for a very good non formal ocassion. Of course, there's a lot of different opinions, and maybe my opinion ain't right. If you have a different opinion, give me it, cause I want to know different points of view.
